Jono Bacon announced the name of Ubuntu 8.04, which is going to be “Hardy Heron”! As Jono wrote, Hardy Heron is not going to be only another great Ubuntu but it will also wear the LTS badge, which means that Hardy is going to be supported for three years on the desktop and five on the server!
Everyone is welcome to think and develop ideas for Hardy Heron, as it's blueprints are already open at Launchpad.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to introduce “Hardy Heron”!

First of all, thanks for posting, Marios!
Personally, I kinda miss a "theme" of the release. Breezy was to be fresh, brisk and full of life. Dapper, as the first LTS, needed some extra polish (2 months of it ;) ). Edgy promised cutting edge technology (not much has made the cut, though...). Feisty - improved hardware support. And finally when announcing Gutsy, Mark Shuttleworth wrote that ease of installation and management (of mass deployments?) will be one of its strong points.
And what's in the latest announcement? Not much, besides a confirmation of the LTS status.
